Morag Ormiston FCIPD MBPsS MBACP MISMA
As the founder of Moonstir, Morag prides herself in working with competent and capable colleagues. She herself is a Fellow of CIPD, Member of BPS, Member of International Stress Management Association and Member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Having been a volunteer with The British Red Cross for 35+ years, Morag started her career as a teacher. She remains positively focused on people and psychology with 23+ years HR Generalist Management experience and 3 years in psychotherapy.
Morag has experience in Global and UK multi-site organisations across varying sectors therefore communicating across timezones and online platforms. As an HR Generalist, Morag is experienced in talent acquisition and development, change and stress management, global compensation and benefits, employment law and systems management. She has been working with SMEs for many years and now provides consultancy to several local companies.
Her focus on health and wellbeing has led to consider performance enhancement and engagement in the workplace. She has created many wellbeing programmes and now provides individual psychotherapy using CBT and person-centred approaches. Her ability to relate, problem solve, empathise but retain a pragmatic approach means goal directed programmes with measurable outcomes are developed. She compassionately supports individuals and groups via coaching, training and counselling. Morag is a dog lover and enjoys time in nature hence the logo is inspired by seeing natural growth.
Kat Buchan BSc
Kat is a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse and Wellbeing Advisor. She has a BSc in Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene, and a BSc in Nursing. She has been working at a senior level in Occupational Health since 2006. She is adept in both the application of health and safety and the consequent aspects of occupational health care in a wide variety of working environments and industries. She is experienced in enabling the development of a health and wellbeing strategy and action plans to be implemented including staff wellbeing assessments, vaccination programmes and mental health and wellbeing advice and support. Her kindness and consideration shows through in her work which is done to a high standard. Kat enjoys keeping fit and spending time with her 2 sons.
Jenny Thomson DIPSW, SMBABCP
With years of experience working in mental health delivering social work interventions, coaching and cognitive behavioural interventions, Jenny's background offers insight into the influence of social as well as psychological factors on individuals and their mental and emotional wellbeing. Jenny runs her own psychotherapy practice with a depth of knowledge and experience in working with people seeking support for stress, anxiety, low mood, isolation and thoughts of suicide. Jenny helps develop new ways of approaching life, relationships, finding direction or developing resilience, providing opportunity to build skills and understanding for lifelong use.
Working with Moonstir, Jenny supports with group and individual psychotherapy work as well as mental health awareness training. Jenny provides a safe and secure environment to explore thoughts and feelings or past trauma and provide evidence based skills and techniques to enable clients to manage and maintain strategies as part of their ongoing daily life. Jenny also has a great sense of humour which brings light to much of her work whilst still maintaining professionalism.
Laura Leslie mBANT, mCNHC
Laura is Registered Nutritional Therapist offering nutrition and lifestyle advice to her clients that will help them achieve their health goals. She focuses on a personalised and balanced approach to health. In a world where there are so many expectations and available nutrition information, it can be difficult to know what is right for us. She helps her clients find what works for them and ultimately leads to lifelong changes. Laura has a calm and non-judgmental approach to her work. She is passionate about balancing body and mind and her kindness shines through when you listen to her. She offers 1-1 support and group programmes. Laura works with Moonstir on our wellbeing programmes and has successfully provided lunch and learn sessions, nutritional advice and meal planning campaigns. She has a particular interest in balancing mind and body hence we are delighted to be working together.
Lucie Ross MCIPD MAC
Lucie is an experienced coach with a passion for people development. She holds an MSc in Human Resource Management, is a Chartered Member of the CIPD and holds a Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring from Oxford Brookes University. Lucie is a Member of the Association for Coaching (MAC) and is a former Team Lead for the North East of Scotland Branch (2009-2010). Lucie’s portfolio includes Cultural Change training with Aberdeen University and Cognitive Behavioural Coaching to support talent attraction and development strategies.
Lucie's passion for people to be the best they can be has led her to become a Resilience Coach. As a professional in Human Resource Management she has seen and heard too many stories of anxiety, stress, mental health issues and depression in both the workplace and in and around her life. She prides herself on being approachable and over the years such that individuals from many walks of life have benefitted from her support, advice and encouragement.
Lucie's experience in SME’s has brought changes to the people agenda via training delivery to large scale projects developing a new culture. Lucie is a nature lover and especially enjoys time near the coast or in water.
