Morag Ormiston is registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZA770906. She is responsible for the personal information processed and for ensuring Moonstir systems, processes, and associates comply with data protection laws in relation to the information handled.

Moonstir regularly reviews the Privacy Policy to ensure it continues to protect the privacy of clients and visitors. We may update our Privacy Policy at any time and any changes made will be posted on our website.

What information do we collect?

IP Addresses

When you visit our website, your IP address which identifies your computer when connected to the internet, will be automatically logged by the website provider.

Cookies

A Cookie is a piece of information that is stored on your computer’s hard drive, we may use information from cookies to analyse the traffic on our website and help us understand how individuals use the site, as well as tracking any patterns which may emerge. This can help us to develop and improve our website and services in response to what our visitors want and need.

Social Media

Our website allows you to share content via social networking sites. In order to allow functionality from social media networks such as Twitter and LinkedIn, third party cookies are used. No personal information has to be given in order to navigate around the website. However, any information which you choose to provide via the website will be added to our marketing database and used by us for administration of our contact and client information and for marketing our services and events to those whom we believe will have an interest in these. Keeping data up to date or requesting deletion

Please help us to ensure the personal information you have provided remains up to date by informing us of any changes, or, if at any time you wish to request that your personal information be removed, please email the details of your request to morag@moonstir.co.uk.

Where deletion of details is requested, please note that there may be a requirement to retain some data in relation to any particular services which you may ask us to provide.

If you would like a copy of any personal information we hold about you, please contact us to request a Subject Access Request Form, fully complete the form and return it to morag@moonstir.co.uk

 

Job candidates, current & former clients

Morag Ormiston is the Data Controller for information you provide during any recruitment process or engaged services. Privacy Notices are made available per contract.

 

Basis for processing and storing data

Moonstir use your data in accordance with GDPR: 

  • to supply you with the services and information which you have requested; 

  • to administer, support, improve and develop our business and the services we offer; 

  • to provide you with access to certain parts of the website; 

  • for all other purposes consistent with the proper performance of operations and business; 

  • to contact you for your views on performance and services; 

  • where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation. 

 

We may contact you by post, telephone, SMS, by e-mail or via calendar appointments. If you change your mind about being contacted in the future by any of these means, then please let us know you wish to opt-out.

 

We may send information to clients or prospective clients based on our belief that the information being provided will be of interest.

Data will be stored on an encrypted drive or via MS Office accounts held securely by Moonstir. Email content will be shared to you containing your own data appropriate to the services provided.  It is your responsibility to ensure your email is secure.
