Museum of Scottish Lighthouses, Fraserburgh gets ready to hire again

The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses is based in the bustling fishing port of Fraserburgh on the North East corner of Aberdeenshire. It’s all here; Kinnaird Head Lighthouse – the very first lighthouse on mainland Scotland (1787), Kinnaird Head Castle containing the lighthouse and the purpose-built museum alongside.


The museum tells the great story of the Northern Lighthouse Board, the engineers who built the lights and the keepers who tended them.




After a difficult year in 2021 due to COVID restrictions and devastating storm damage in November 2021, the Museum is again ready to open its doors in April 2022. In preparing to ensure the wonderful visitor experience, we are seeking 2 cooks, 1 front of house assistant and 2 tour guides/retail assistants to join the experienced team.


If you enjoy serving the public, we want to hear from you. With our commitment to community involvement, we want to hire staff whom are also willing to mentor our trainees and role their sleeves up with .
