Psychotherapy and Coaching

We know how hard it is to get the dedicated support you need for your mental health. Forming relationships with your therapist or coach are key to the success.  That is why Morag's owner has hand selected the associates she works with.

Morag and Lucie have known each other since 2001 and have worked on joint projects on many occasions over the years.

Morag and Jenny met whilst training at ACIS in 2018 and went onto complete their Counselling Diploma together. 

Morag met Laura in 2020 during some online training and immediately found their common interest in wellbeing.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Morag and Jenny now both work privately but also work part time in the NHS as psychological therapists.  We work with a range of clients within our level of competence and in line with our own professional body framework.  We are working towards accreditation now that we have completed many hours of therapy but we can assure you our level of care meets regulatory body standards and your specific needs.


CBT focuses on current difficulties with a view to changing the ‘here and now’ rather than spending significant time looking to the past for causes of distress. 


"CBT is not meant to be a mysterious process for clients; key principles are explained to clients so that they can apply them and develop more adaptive skills in their daily lives. Self-monitoring helps to achieve this aim by providing clients with a straightforward technique that facilitates the identification of thoughts, feelings, and actions through homework. In conjunction with psycho-education provided in session, self-monitoring helps to clarify and bolster the rationale and goals for treatment… it functions as a material way in which to employ collaborative empiricism in therapy.” (Cohen, Edmunds, Brodman et al., 2013)

CBT is often between 6-12 sessions depending on complexities. You as the client are expected to take a more active role in therapy by applying the new skills and techniques learned to help make changes to thoughts and behaviours.  CBT is effective with a variety of problems such as depression, anxiety, phobias, stress, trauma, panic disorder, personality disorders, OCD, ADHD and complex grief. We can also support with life changes such as menopause, life changing health conditions and sleep difficulties and personality disorders. There is a need for you to apply the techniques offered and undertake some work yourself outwith sessions so you should be motivated to do this work.

Psycho-educational Group Therapy

Our psychoeducational groups focus on educating clients about their disorders and ways of coping. They are based on the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy. The group consists of members who all share the same issues, whether this is anxiety, depression or a more specific disorder.  Run by Morag and Jenny our small groups help clients learn about potential triggers, how to develop healthy coping mechanisms, and how to avoid pitfalls in the future.  Keep an eye on our events for more sessions.

Wellness and Resilience Coaching

As coaches, Lucie, Morag and Laura form partnerships with our clients to optimize their health and well-being through developing and sustaining positive mindsets. We work on enhancing self-motivation and coping strategies to navigate the journey of change, thus building psychological and physical resilience. 

Our coaching programmes are varied from executive coaching to team coaching, from individual stress management to conflict resolution.  We also work on eating well to stay well.  Keep an eye out for our varied coaching offerings throughout the year.
